Sutter Solano Cancer Center
Located hillside in Vallejo, this project gives its patients a great view of the bay and Napa Valley. This three-story, steel framed Cancer Center includes a one-story portion at its North end, and a disconnected one-story concrete linear accelerator vault structure at its South end. For the main steel-framed structure, lateral resistance to wind and earthquake forces was achieved using steel-special moment resisting frames (SMRF). The frame beams use a proprietary slotted web design (SSDA) to achieve the required ductility at the beam-to-column connections.
Kaiser Folsom
Kaiser's newest facility is located in one of Sacramento's fastest growing suburbs, Folsom. The structural system features a metal deck roof and concrete over metal deck floor. The structural steel wide-Flange beam and column framing system provides the strength needed for the building.
Sierra Nevada Hospital
Hillside with views of the valley below, this four-story hospital facility houses outpatient surgery, imaging, cardiopulmonary lab, cardio rehabilitation, IV therapy, physical therapy, central sterile supply, patient education, and hospital administration. The composite steel-framed building features a helicopter pad on the roof as well as a partial subterranean basement.
