The Eskaton Gold River Lodge is a community offering a fresh approach to assisted living. It features 84 one bedroom apartments in the two story wings with private baths and kitchens, along with common areas which include a sunroom, dining rooms, living rooms and laundry facilities. The facilities are packed with amenities, such as an on-site pharmacy, bank, hair salon, and many fireplaces throughout to enhance the cozy feel of home. The structural system consist of a very cost effective prefabricated wood roof truss and floor joist framing supported by wood Framed walls.
Ping Yuen Senior Housing
Ping Yuen Center, a project for the City of Sacramento, is situated in an historical area of downtown Sacramento that is referred to as "Chinatown". The rehabilitated Ping Yuen Center offers 81 studio and one bedroom apartment homes nestled around a main Chinese garden style courtyard. The ground floor features a resident community meeting room, a private laundry facility, management offices and the building maintenance operations office. The addition and renovation of the existing building is made of concrete and masonry walls, precast plank floor and roof construction. The addition consists of steel frame with precast floor and roof planks. The first floor is partially below surrounding grade with retaining walls at North and East elevations.
