- The project involves the structural design of the new Finger Building of Otopeni International Airport. The steel structure for gravity loads were added to a shear wall structure for seismic action. The challenge of the project was the particular architecture of the roof with long spanned curve steel beams and tree-style tubular columns. The structure is in a moderate seismic area and was developed with Capacity Design criteria.
