Port Au Prince, Haiti | January 2012
Port-au-Prince, Haiti — This critical symposium will address the reconstruction progress made since the Magnitude 7 earthquake on January 12, 2010. The MTPTC damage assessment program resulted in 400,000 assessed structures; and the creation of the related electronic database for damage and repair information. From this database, reconstruction strategies and pilot programs are being developed and implemented rapidly. The pilot projects present important lessons learned and practical experience which will shape the future of Haiti. This foundational state of reconstruction will be the topic of discussion by leaders representing a diversity of sectors. Consider this symposium a must for stakeholders who want to understand the latest reconstruction strategies including: public officials, embassy leaders, private sector representatives, NGOs, UN agencies, donor organizations, engineers, contractors, academics and media.
We invite you to be a part of this strategic and collaborative symposium that will be held on January 10th. The event will be free of charge to attend; however, seating is limited to the first 300, so sign up today click here.
